Based on the proven AccessTM lift design, the Step Well Lift is highly versatile and is compatible with most worldwide high floor buses.
It provides a level, stable platform and bridging plate for wheelchair passenger access and can be deployed by an operator in less than 60 seconds. When stowed, the platform and all mechanisms are neatly concealed behind any of the step risers and when in operation, has a SWL of 350kg. The City Bus Step Well Lift is available with either a 825 or 925mm width and a length of 1410, 1510 or 1610mm.
All mechanisms are protected from corrosion as they are housed within a cassette positioned between the raised internal floor and outer chassis floor. Every galvanised cassette box has been intelligently engineered so that location is straightforward and fitting issues in terms of surrounding bus components are eliminated. When operated via a roaming controller or dashboard mounted controls, the lift will automatically deploy from the cassette ready for the manual positioning of the handrails.
A safe, robust platform with automatic ‘roll-off stops’ is then available for lifting and lowering wheelchair or immobile passengers. Bespoke versions and a fully automatic version can be built if required and this lift will deliver a sector leading height above ground level. The telescopic platform includes safety handrails, anti-slip surfaces and high visibility edging.
